Regardless of the outcome in today’s AIB Leinster Club Camogie Intermediate Final between Myshall and Tullaroan, Carlow already have an award in the bag. Last night saw Kate Nolan pick up up the inaugural Liberty Insurance Junior Player of the Year award, staving off competition from SarahAnne Fitzgerald (Laois) and Kelly Hopkins of Roscommon.

The Senior Players’ Player of the Year went to Cork’s Gemma O’Connor with Waterford’s Patricia Jackman picking up Intermediate Player of the Year. After another successful season on Leeside, Cork’s Paudie Murray was named Manager of the Year.

Dean Egan spoke to Kate about her win – listen below for more.
