Freebooters joint manager James Kelly says that Sunday morning’s Pat Maher Shield Quarter-Final clash at home to Evergreen is a big game to determine how well the new signings are doing.
Speaking to KCLR, James says a victory on Sunday will lay down a marker for the season.
“It’s a big game because it’s the Shield game and we have got some new signings there.
“We have signed David Grincell, Peter Higgins, Conor English, we have Andrew Wall back from Cobh.
“We will see how we stand early in the season so if we can get a win against them, it will put us up there for the remainder of the season,” he said.
