Carlow Senior Hurling manager Colm Bonnars says the trip to Tralee to play Kerry next Sunday is an even bigger game after the defeat at home to Westmeath on Sunday.

Speaking to KCLR after Sunday’s game, Colm says that some of the injured players who missed the Westmeath match have a chance featuring next Sunday…..

“Kerry came down from Division 1B, they were probably the favorites to go back up so if you don’t win your home games, it puts you under savage pressure going into this so look, we know what’s ahead of us, we are going to have to get a result out of it, and that’s it, so if we are good enough definitely and it’s a case of just trying to get a win out of it”

“Richard (Coady) is back, he had a back injury there for maybe eight weeks, nine weeks, he couldn’t shake it and he is back hurling now and he is getting stronger, John Michael is back from a back injury there before Christmas and Paul Coady is back, they are all good players, and it just strengthens our hand I suppose when are going picking it but whether they are available next Sunday, we will have to wait and see”
