Kilkenny will have to up their game to beat Cork says Ann Downey

Kilkenny Senior Camogie manager Anne Downey says they have a lot of work to do ahead of Saturday’s trip to Galway.

Speaking immediately after Saturday’s draw against Clare, Anne says they will have to regroup after Saturday’s disappointing performance…

“We have to put it behind us now and learn from it and just look forward to going up to Galway and hopefully give a performance there”

“We were three weeks off since the last Waterford game so it’s a long time waiting for the next game to come around, whereas Clare have had, this is the 3rd game in a row so they have had those few games under their belt”

“But look we are not making any excuses, they out hurled us today, they were a class apart, running off the ball for one another and they took their goals quite well so as I said we have to go back to the drawing board and we have a lot of work to do”
