Antrim 1-09

Kilkenny 1-15

The Kilkenny senior camogie side proved too strong for a well organised Antrim side in Dunloy on Saturday afternoon.

Following two consecutive victories against Down and Limerick, a third win sees the 2020 All-Ireland champions move one step closer towards advancing to the knockout stages.

It looked like it would prove to be a relatively straightforward afternoon early on for Brian Dowling’s side as they raced into an early 0-02 to 1-04 lead.

The All-Ireland intermediate champions got back into the game thanks to a goal of their own before a string of scores before half-time left two points between the sides, Antrim 1-05 to 1-07 Kilkenny.

The visitors began the second half in good fashion as they managed to gain control of the game.

A cluster of unanswered points pulled the away side ahead and they never relinquished their lead despite the best efforts of Antrim as Kilkenny secured a crucial victory.
