Kilkenny Senior All-Star goalkeeper Eoin Murphy says his team-mates were a great help when they were training through tough times during the year especially in extremely difficult weather conditions.
Speaking after the Amanda Stapleton hurling benefit game in Borrisoleigh on Saturday night, Eoin says that winning an All-Star was a proud moment for himself personally.
“Yeah, proud moment for me alright yeah. I suppose from a personal point of view obviously you would like if there was a few more of your teammates there on the team as well.
“Next year is another year and I’m immensely proud I suppose more for the players as well like because they are the ones you rely on through the tough times, your hard slog during the Winter where people mightn’t notice like in a way like when you see the games in the Championship and stuff like that during the height of the Summer.
“You can always rely on them when times were tough like so but you can rely on them in the good times as well, you know that they will be there backing you,” he said.
