Kilkenny greyhound stadium welcomes a “Born Warrior”

There is a special visitor to Kilkenny Greyhound Stadium this evening as the recently crowned Boylesports Irish Greyhound Derby winner, “Born Warrior” will be paraded at the track by his trainer and owners.

Born Warrior is owned by John Mitchell from Bagenalstown, Willie Hanlon from Paulstown, Fred Malzard from Stoneyford, and Tom Crean from Enniscorthy.

The Derby champion is trained by Jennifer O’Donnell from Killenaule in Tipperary.

It’s not “Born Warriors” first trip to Kilkenny Track, he actually ran four times in Kilkenny Track during the Summer, winning 3 of them. Little was it known back then that he would eventually be crowned Derby Champion for 2022.

On the racing front, there are four Quarterfinals of The Kilkenny Track A3 525 with first race off at 7.30 pm.
