Kilkenny Senior Hurling defender Joey Holden says that having gone 5 years without winning the Senior All-Ireland is not overly concerning.

It’s not certain as to whether Joey and his Ballyhale Shamrocks Teammates will return to the County set-up for Kilkenny’s National League clash against Clare on Sunday, but Joey says it’s always a savage battle to win the All-Ireland every year.

“The goal at the start of every year for Kilkenny Teams should be to win an All-Ireland, no different this year, but it’s seriously competitive in the Liam McCarthy, their is 7, 8, 9 teams that could win it so you have to be under no illusions that it’s going to be an easy journey, it’s certainly going to be a tough journey, but listen that’s our goal is to win an All-Ireland, we are not worried about how long before we have won it, we want to win it this year”
