DJ Carey says that John Joe Farrell could be set for a big Championship season after his outstanding display against Dublin where he scored 1-5 from play on his Championship debut.

Speaking to KCLR on last nights “The way it is” DJ says that John Joe has been unlucky to miss out on a starting place the past few years….

“I think Johnjoe has been one of the unlucky ones to miss out the last 2 or 3 years or maybe more with Kilkenny”

“A lot of the time he (Brian Cody) has been playing a two-man full-forward line or is in there and he is up against an extra back, and opposition teams have been coming back and he has done very well, and yet when it came to the Championship he seemed to have missed out”

“But I am delighted that certainly against Dublin he took his chance and I hope he goes on to have a great season”.

Reminder – Public Sale of tickets for Sunday's Leinster Final tomorrow evening June 29th in Nowlan Park from 7pm to 8pm
