Tributes have been pouring in from the GAA community across Kilkenny and further afield for the late Liam “Chunky” O’Brien who passed away on Monday.
Liam won four All Irelands had four All-stars and was the hurler of the year during the ’70s.
Kilkenny great Eddie Keher paid tribute to him and said hurling came naturally to Chunky.
“He was a most gifted natural hurler, I would call him a class player with superb skill,” said Eddie.
“I often felt like that we had to work a lot to try to perfect the skills of the game, but I always felt that Chunky had it naturally, he didn’t have to work at the game, it just came to him”.
“His record on the field in the seventies speak for themselves,” Eddie added.
