Cork City striker Sean Maguire is just living the moment and not concerned about any future speculation.
Speaking after Sunday’s FAI Cup Final victory over Dundalk, the Castlecomer native said that scoring the winning goal was something to savour……
“Yeah, obviously like if you are doing well in this league, there is going to be talks about you going elsewhere and stuff. Look at Daryl (Horgan) and Andy(Boyle) – both Dundalk – getting called up to the Senior Team but listen I am just going to live in the moment because these moments don’t come around too often”
“Win an FAI Cup Final and scoring the winner in the last minute against your former club so I will just live in this moment. It’s hard to put into words but I will just live in this moment”
Speaking after the game, the Castlecomer native said the victory meant so much having missed out on last years final…..
“I was actually in the last 10 minutes, I was kind of focused on where I am going to put my penalty and stuff like so I think all the players deserve it more”
“We all deserve it like the manager, the fans and listen I can’t put it into words how much this means to us, means to me because I wasn’t on the bench this time last year, and just to play out there in front of a great crowd, great support from Cork travelling two and a half three hours, it’s just amazing”
