Kilkenny Senior manager Brian Dowling says they’ll learn a lot from their tough game against Limerick at the weekend.

They narrowly won their quarter-final however they take on neighbours Tipperary at 1 pm in Nowlan Park on Sunday next in the semi-finals.

Brian says the team found a way to win and that’s important.

“You know we didn’t hit the heights that we hit maybe last Saturday and that was probably a danger all week,” said Brian.

“Sometimes when you play, everything goes perfect for you the week before, it’s hard to come out the week after and do the same thing but look, it’s funny I think you’ll nearly learn more about a team today than you did last week”.

“Things weren’t going well for us there but players stood up at different times and I thought the character of the girls was brilliant, in fairness they just found a way to win and get over the line” he added.
