Kilkenny overcame Limerick 3-22 to 1-12 in Thurles on Saturday to book a place in this year’s All-Ireland semi-final.

Having tasted defeat at the hands of Galway last weekend, the Cats turned in a strong performance to set up a last four clash with Tipperary in Croke Park.

Tit-for-tat in the early stages, Kilkenny lead the way 1-11 to 0-8 at the break but turned up the heat in the second half, adding a further 2-11 in a dominant scoring performance.

While Tipperary await on Sunday, the winners will play either Dublin or Galway in this year’s final.
