There were two games in the Kilkenny Honda Centre Minor Hurling League on Monday night.
In the Roinn A clash between Danesfort and Naas, goals proved crucial as the home side came out on top against the visitors on a scoreline of 3-13 to 1-11.
The win was Danesfort’s second of the season and sees them move up to 11th in the thirteen-team table.
Kildare side Naas remain bottom of the table with a solitary victory to their name.
Danesfort host Clara on Monday night with Naas travelling to Castlecomer for a clash with Erins Own.
Elsewhere, Burren Rangers dispatched of Ballyhale Shamrocks by 11-28 to 0-04 in Group A of the Roinn C competition.
The victors’ next tie sees them face St Lachtain’s on Friday night.
Meanwhile, Ballyhale Shamrocks will have to wait until July 4 for their clash with Dicksboro B.
