Kilkenny Triathlon Race Director Roisin O’Brien says that herself and the committee have spent the best part of the last year preparing for the upcoming event.
It takes place on July 21st.
Speaking to KCLR, Roisin says she has received great support from the committee.
She said “There is quite a bit of planning that goes on behind the scenes, and I mean I did the Triathlon a few times but I suppose I never realized how much is involved until you are actually in that role yourself”.
“We started in probably September, October so I have a great team of helpers, and we have a great committee and lots of volunteers, I suppose just tipping along for the last few months, but the next few weeks now are pretty crucial to try to get the numbers up and get the last few adjustments made for the big day”.
