Kilkenny continued their winning ways at the Allianz Park in New Ross on Sunday afternoon, overcoming the hosts 18-10 in a bruising encounter – all out war we were told after the game by one rugby fan.
The win cements Kilkenny’s second place in the South East League J1 A section, Enniscorthy with a game in hand as their proposed fixture with Carlow had fallen through by Friday. With a game in hand, Enniscorthy and Kilkenny are level on points but the Wexford men clear on points difference and having the head-to-head advantage over Kilkenny.
In the earlier kick off, New Ross seconds caused something of an upset in getting the better of Kilkenny 15-14.

For Tullow, however, it was three losses from three, going down by a single point loss to Wexford Wanderers at Park Lane. The Division 2B side ran out 20-19 winners against Tullow who kick off their Leinster League Division 1B campaign at home next weekend against North Kildare.
With 17 tries conceded in three games and remaining without a win in the South East League, the 2012/13 winners have some work to do.
