A number of new faces will take to the pitch in the black and amber on Wednesday night for Kilkennys first outing of 2016.

The cats Walsh Cup campaign gets underway against DIT under lights at the MW Hire Training Centre in Dunmore at 7.30pm.

It is expected that the bulk of the team will be made up of the under 21 side for the clash.

Then on Sunday, they head to Birr to take on Offaly in the final group game, Offaly have already beaten DIT.

Group winners progress to the semi-finals on Sunday 24th with the final scheduled for Croke Park on Saturday 30th January.
