Kilkenny Youths Inter-League Soccer manager James Kelly says they didn’t panic despite going a goal behind against Carlow on Saturday.
Kilkenny won 4-1 and now make the long trip to Donegal to play Inishowen in the next round, and speaking to KCLR, James says they kept to their plan even when going behind…..
“Yeah, it was a brilliant win. Delighted with it now”
“The boys performed very very good on Saturday, we are looking forward to the next round now”
“Yeah it was a must win game, we had to win the game, a draw wouldn’t of done us, because Carlow were after drawing with Wexford so a draw would have done them, we needed the three points and fair play to the lads, we went 1-0 down early but we didn’t panic, we felt that we were on top of the game at that stage, and the lads scored three goals in a matter of minutes to take the lead so happy with the performance overall”
