Gowran Park have announced the return of their summer’s Ladies Day, scheduled for Saturday 23 July.

Backed by MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre and Lyrath Estate, the search for the race day’s best-dressed is back on with Kilkenny native and fashion blogger Lorraine Booth (Styleboothique) also announced as guest judge. Booth, along with teams from Gowran Park, Lyrath Estate and MacDonagh Junction will be on hand on the day to spot that ‘perfect balance of racing style and creative chic’.

Last run in 2019, Navan native Louise Allen was crowned overall winner that year, collecting a stay at Lyrath Estate and a shopping trip to MacDonagh Junction. Those prizes are on the line again this year with the overall winner taking home a two-night stay at the 5* hotel, plus a €1,000 gift card for MacDonagh Junction. Five runners-up will also be chosen from those in attendance, receiving a €100 gift card for MacDonagh Junction and a €100 voucher for the Oasis Spa at Lyrath.

Speaking at the launch of Ladies Day, MacDonagh Junction’s Donna Byrne says they’re very much looking forward to seeing the fashion on show in Gowran this July.

“We are delighted to come on board as main sponsor for Ladies Day at Gowran Park for the sixth consecutive year”, said Byrne.

“Ladies Day is synonymous with style and fashion so it’s the perfect fit for the Centre and our 30 top brand retailers. Each year the style stakes reach new heights, and we look forward to seeing the glamourous looks showcased by this year’s entrants.”

Eddie Scally of Gowran Park adds “our summer Ladies Day event has grown (sic) from strength to strength over the past 10 years and this is in no small part down to the wonderful support we get from the teams at MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre and Lyrath Estate Hotel. This year’s top prize is just fantastic and after two years of no Ladies Day I just cannot wait to see the buzz around the track on what is our biggest summer meeting of the year”.
