Lisdowney captain Vinny Fitzpatrick has said that being the captain of Lisdowney was a great honour for him in 2020, especially in a year when the club won the intermediate hurling championship.
Speaking to KCLRs Sunday Scoreline, Vinny revealed that it was a dream come true for him to be named the captain:
“Yeah its fantastic, it;s the stuff that dreams are made of really, i’ve been hurling adult for 15 years now and it’s the first opportunity i’ve had to captain the team”.
“It’s been passed around and when it comes to your time not everyone gets the opportunity, but to get the opportunity on the year that you actually win a county final, it’s incredible, it’s as I said something that your dreams are made of really”.
