Kilkenny Under-16 Hurling manager Richie Mulrooney says they saved their best performance until last when winning Saturday’s All-Ireland Final against Tipperary.
Speaking to KCLR, Richie says that Tipp were favorites going into the Final on Saturday evening.
“I suppose by the time the final came around against Tipperary, it didn’t start until 7 o clock so it was a long long day, but Tipp were probably favorites I would say going into it. They had defeated Clare 2-11 to 0-5 earlier in the day and we had scraped over Clare by two points in that Semi-Final but the lads certainly saved their best until last and they gave a magnificent display in the final,” he said.
