Tinryland Senior Football manager Martin Doyle says it’s going to be extremely difficult to get out of their group and make the knock-out stages.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday evenings opener against Palatine, Martin says that the Palatine Club is in a great place.
“We have a very tough group. There is no point in saying we haven’t. We have Palatine going for three-in-a-row, Old Leighlin who have been in 5 or 6 County Finals in the last 7 or 8 years.
“Mt. Leinster Rangers who on any year if they were to leave down the hurls, you could say that they would have a great chance of winning the football, they are all in our group.
“At the minute Palatine are a great club and no one can take it from them.
“Even at juvenile level there, they are brilliant numbers, the under-21 we won two years ago, we beat them in the final, the Minor that we won, we beat them in the Final, but they bounced back and won a Minor after the following year, so they are in a great place over there in Palatine at the moment,” he said.
