On Saturday last, the London branch of the Kilkenny GAA Supports Club held their first dinner dance event at The Claddagh Ring in Hendon, London. Among the traveling party for the weekend were Liam ‘Chunky’ O’Brien, the recently retired Jackie Tyrrell, Kilkenny Supports Club’s John Mackey along with the 2016 Camogie All-Ireland winning pair of Ann and Angela Downey.
KCLR were on the plane for a live broadcast from the event and Kevin Regan caught up with the Downey sisters to look at plans for 2017, what comes next for the All-Ireland-winning Intermediate team as they transition to senior, and what the trip to London means.
