Lyng says strength in depth has Ballyragget in Leinster Final

St. Patricks Ballyragget Intermediate Hurling manager Jim Lyng says they proved they have strength in depth to their panel after qualifying for the Leinster Intermediate Club Final with victory over Kiltale.

However Speaking to KCLR after Saturday’s game, Jim says leaving the opposition with a number of goal chances is something to work on for the Leinster Final.

“Yeah, well I mean you would like your team to remain the same if you could, but in fairness the boys that came in did a right good job. I mean Conor Delaney took two or three really good scores there so look we are happy enough with our panel and everybody for fellows down, we have another lad to come on and that’s the way we would like it to be.

“We did give up goal chances, we did concede two and we did concede a few other chances and I suppose we missed a few chances ourselves as well but that will happen in the cut and thrust of the game.

“Michael Gannon (goalkeeper) has been like that all year for us. He really has now. He made a critical save right at the start and another one mid-way through the 2nd half that really kept us that little bit ahead that maybe in some ways demoralized Kiltale,” he said.
