Marble City Hawks Ladies Basketball Coach Julian O’Keeffe says they are not getting carried away despite such a good start to the season.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of their trip to UL on Saturday, Julian there is still a long season ahead and they need to keep working hard.

“We have played three games at the moment. We won our two home games and we lost unfortunately down to Fr. Matthews in Cork, but we are looking forward to now this weekend to take on UL who are top of the table at the moment so we are looking to go down and give a good account of ourselves.

“When we started this time last year, we lost our first three games so so far we are two games ahead of where we were last year, but it’s still a long season to go.

“We are just going to have to keep plugging away and hopefully keep get the same results as we had this time last year,” he said.
