The fixtures for the Michael Lyng Motors Intermediate Championship have been confirmed with several games to look forward to.
St. Lachtain’s will take on John Lockes in the first round.
St. Lachtain’s come into this game on the back of a strong showing and convincing victory against Fenians to seal third place in Group A while John Lockes suffered three defeats in their group and will be the underdogs when they face Stephen Farrell’s side.
Conahy Shamrocks and Danesfort go head-to-head in what promises to be a tight and tentative affair.
2020 All-Ireland junior champions Conahy have a single victory to their name in the league when they defeated St. Lachtain’s 3-19 to 3-16 to finish fourth with two points.
Danesfort enter the championship on the back of two consecutive defeats to Glenmore and Carrickshock which dented the confidence they had gained from their opening round victory against John Lockes.
Young Irelands have a clash with O’Loughlin Gaels to look forward to.
Gowran have a single point from their league exploits while O’Loughlin’s have just one win to their name as they finished fourth in their group on points difference.
The final championship fixture sees a Fenians side who have suffered three consecutive defeats meet Dunnamaggin who were impressive in their 0-24 to 0-06 defeat of John Lockes on Sunday.
Thomastown and Glenmore have qualified for the league final with both sides winning all three of their league games while St. Martin’s face Carrickshock in the shield final in a game that pits two sides with a 100% record against each other.
