Kilkenny Ladies Gaelic Football manager James Neary says it’s been a great learning experience for what is largely a very young squad as they prepare for tomorrow’s clash at home to Carlow.
Speaking to KCLR, James says the girls are looking forward to the game despite the difficulty of the challenge.
“It is only our 2nd year back at this level. We lost a lot of players from last year, so we have quite a young team an inexperienced team who would have about 6 or 7 minor players who would be playing with the ladies teams so it has been tough.
“But it has been a great learning experience for those girls and their commitment has been fantastic for their county.
“Even though we haven’t had any victories yet, things are positive in the camp and we are improving as we go along.
“We are up against very experienced teams like Carlow this Saturday which has been quite difficult for us, but it’s not dampening the girls spirits for the game or the campaign so we are looking forward to it this Saturday,” he said.
