Kilkenny Business owner and star on RTE’s “Salon Confidential” , Nigel Kenny, has called on people to start making the most of their prime sporting years.
Nigel was an underage inter-county hurler with Tipperary and is now currently back playing with Dicksboro GAA Club, after being ruled out of action for many years with a severe head injury.
Now that he is back on the field Nigel is not taking anything for granted and he encourages others to make the most of their youth
“Im so blessed that I have a second chance, its just a blessing. When I see lads that were at a stage where I was at 5-10 years ago and they are basically choosing to sit at a bar, watch matches and put on weight, im just thinking your going to regret it for the rest of your life. Its just a euphoric feeling taking to the field with 15 guys all with the same purpose, no matter what the level is.”
