Former Carlow Senior Hurler Pat Coady says that Carlow Under-16 Camogie Manager Pat English was very progressive with the development of the squad which helped secure an All-Ireland title last weekend with victory over Mayo.
Speaking to KCLR, Pat says that preparations for this years campaign would have begun last winter……
“Pat was very progressive and got them together as far back as last November when they were doing indoor sessions in the indoor arena in St. Mullins”
“Pat would have gotten many outside experts in just to give the girls a bit of advice on how they can prepare with their diet, their fitness, judging school, and playing and everything like”
“Pat is kind of looking at the bigger picture as in player development rather than possibly winning titles, All-Ireland titles”
“What we have seen this year is that when the players are looked after correctly and you are looking at the whole picture, the success comes as an eye product and that came last Saturday up in Banagher”
