Highview Athletic player-manager Dean Broaders says that victory in Sunday’s Pat Maher Shield Final against Thomastown United would confirm the progression they have made the last few years.
Speaking to KCLR, Dean says it’s great for Soccer in Kilkenny that they have thrown themselves in contention for silverware.
He said “I think we spoke about it for the last few years about breaking into the top three in Evergreen, Freebooters and Thomastown and hopefully make it top four from now on”.
“It’s not only great for us, but the League in general to have more teams competing for the League and the Cups every year, but for us it would be some sort of getting our hands on the trophy would be some sort of that would be our way of saying yeah we are right up there with everyone of us, and kind of what we are trying to do is working or is worthwhile”.
