This Kilkenny hurling fan’s putting it up to the county’s finest and showing how the autumn harvest is done in the Marble City.
With over ten days to go to this year’s All-Ireland Senior Hurling final in Croke Park, Kilkenny City native Edward Brennan‘s been hard at work in the garden, clearing a spot for the hopeful return of Liam McCarthy for the 36th time.
Gráinne Brennan snapped her brother, a long-standing member of Kilkenny Rugby Club, hard at work bedecked in the black and amber, stripey socks and matching Dicksboro GAA shorts – not to be mistaken with the maroon and white of Galway. If your shy a few sliotars and hurls, it might not be no harm to give the Brennan family in Kilkenny a shout by the look of this harvest. Someone get this man a ticket to the All-Ireland!

Kilkenny RFC get their 2015/6 season kicked off this Sunday with two games at Foulkstown in the South East Shield, taking on Enniscorthy in a repeat of last season’s Provincial Towns Cup final.
Anyone care to offer up a caption?
H/T to Gráinne Brennan for the photos.
