Piltown’s Karen Duggan will travel with the Peamount United team as they take the trip to Glasgow City for tomorrow’s Womens Champions League clash.
It’s the first qualifying round of the competition and the Scottish reached the quarter finals of the competition last year.
Karen says there’s lots of youth in their team but they have experienced internationals too:
She said “Yeah you would hope it will help the girls along that well be able to have a level head when we do go over there, there’s loads of competition for places, so I think that has been really healthy throughout the squad and even the girls who are less experienced are stepping up to the plate and have been all season”.
She added “There’s a lot of leaders in the team there, you mention the likes of Aine O’Gorman, she’s been a fantastic captain for us for the last few seasons, kicked us on last year and I’m sure she’ll be ready and willing to do the same again”.
