There is a former Group 1 winner in action at Gowran Park on Tuesday as the Jim Bolger-trained Loch Garman is among a field of six for the Join The Gowran Park Racing Club Today Race (4.40).

It is almost three years since Loch Garman won the Group 1 Criterium International at Saint-Cloud but we have only seen the son of Teofilo three times since then. There was very little wrong with his sole start of the current campaign when he chased home the 2011 Dewhurst hero Parish Hall in the Listed Alleged Stakes at the Curragh in April.

Loch Garman may be rated 102 but he doesn’t boast the highest mark in the field. That award goes to the 106-rated Mohaayed who finished sixth to Gleneagles in the Irish 2,000 Guineas back in May and looks sure to come on for his recent return to action at Listowel.

There are some familiar names in action in the Gowran Park Golf Memberships For 2016 Handicap (4.10) where the Tony Martin-trained Spacious Sky looks sure to be among the leading fancies.

The seven-race Flat card at Gowran Park on Tuesday begins at 2.05 and the going is good.
