Rathvilly’s progression to the Leinster club football championships may have prolonged the career of a one-club player.
Tony Bolger began playing for the club over 20 years ago but isn’t done yet.
Speaking to Scoreline, Bolger says he is waiting on his body to tell him if he should hang up his boots.
“I started in 1998 and my first game was against Eire Og and I lost to as a young fella and if this is the end for me, I don’t know, I’ll see how the body goes, but if it is it’s nice to beat Eire Og, it’s a first time I won against them,” said Tony.
“It’s always nice to beat the boys at the top and they are the top, they are always going to be there” he added.
Rathvilly meet Louth champions Naomh Martin in Dunleer this Sunday lunchtime.
