Rathvilly joint manager Sean Kavanagh says that Danny Molloy is always capable of getting the important scores when required.
Speaking to KCLR after yesterday’s victory over Old Leighlin, Sean says they never panicked when Old Leighlin had their periods on top.
“Well Danny has been a great player for Rathvilly over the years, not that he’s that old still. I’m sure he’s always looking to start himself, but we know when he comes on he’s able to a job and he is able to get that score when we need it.
“That gave us a little bit of breathing space after missing a few chances so we are delighted and you would be anxious all through it, we never at any stage felt that we were out of sight or anything like that.
“It was always going to be a battle and a team like Old Leighlin were going to get their minutes on top so it’s a matter in that situation of trying to get over that period and then we will get our own period again,” he said.
