Club hurling is well and truly back in Kilkenny after the St Canice’s Credit Union Senior Hurling League and Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Intermediate Hurling League began last weekend.
There were victories for Tullaroan, Lisdowney and Clara in Group A of the senior league, while O’Loughlin Gaels, Glenmore and Bennettsbridge picked up the two points in Group B.

This weekend, Ballyhale Shamrocks take on Mullinavat with both teams going in search of their first victory, Tullaroan and Clara will be hoping to maintain their 100% records when they meet and Lisdowney face Erin’s Own.
The tie of the round sees Bennettsbridge and O’Loughlin Gaels go head-to-head in Group B with Glenmore going up against Dicksboro and James Stephens taking on Graigue Ballycallan.

In the Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Kilkenny Intermediate Hurling League, Conahy Shamrocks, Thomastown and Carrickshock sealed Group A victories in the first round and Group B saw Danesfort, O’Loughlin Gaels and Rower Inistioge secure wins.
This weekend’s action opens up with Conahy Shamrocks’ meeting with Dunnamaggin, while Young Irelands’ match with St Martin’s and Thomastown’s encounter with Carrickshock make up the fixtures in Group A.
