Rower-Inistioge manager Peter Queally says that players injured gives others a chance to shine against good opposition.

The South Kilkenny side are missing a few players for their clash with Erins Own this Saturday at 5pm in Palmerstown.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of the game, Peter says it will be a good test against a team high in confidence after the opening round of games…..

“Yeah, look like I said, it’s a game we could have lost and it would have been doubly disappointing to come out (of the Carrickshock game) with no points so we will take the point”

“We will move on, we know we have a tough game now against Castlecomer who were fairly comprehensive winners against Mullinavat the first day, so this will be a good test for lads and even though we were down a few”

“It gives other lads a chance and gives us chance to see how they get on against good opposition”

Meanwhile Erins Own manager Eamonn Phelan is expecting a tougher challenge from Rower-Inistioge in Saturday’s Senior League clash.

Speaking to KCLR, Eamonn says it’s hard to judge teams in the early stages of the league……

“Yeah, we were happy enough with how things went in the first game”

“This time of the year, no one knows how anyone is going so I suppose look it will be similar this weekend as well with the game but look we were happy to get the two points”

“They would be a physical team, not that Mullinavat wouldn’t be a physical team but look they have been going well, I know they put a serious effort in for training and I would expect a tougher challenge alright this weekend”
