Ryder Cup winning captain Paul McGinley is partnering with Mount Juliet Estate to create the first ever “Paul McGinley Golf Academy” on the Estate. For 25 years Paul McGinley has been one of the most respected figures in the world of golf. Paul led Europe to victory in the 2014 European Ryder Cup and captained the Irish Olympic Golf Team in Rio 2016. Now for the first time Paul will partner with a golf facility in Ireland.

The Paul McGinley Golf Academy at Mount Juliet Estate will redesign the existing academy, re-configuring and updating the current facilities and creating a specific teaching and fitting centre. The Academy will use the most advanced teaching software (Trackman®, swing/video system and hardware) and instruction will be based around Paul’s playing philosophy. All instructors will be selected and trained by the McGinley team. This latest initiative represents an investment of €3 million in the Estate’s golf facilities.

Paul McGinley commented at the launch: “The calibre of golfers who have played at Mount Juliet underlines the quality of this magnificent venue. It’s long been a favourite golf destination of mine and I am pleased to partner with the team. I look forward to developing the “Paul McGinley Golf Academy” and working with Mount Juliet to further enhance the already world class golf facilities on the Estate.”

This is an exciting development for Mount Juliet Estate, one of Ireland’s most iconic golf resorts. The Championship Golf Course at Mount Juliet Estate was designed by golfing great Jack Nicklaus and continues to be regarded as the leading championship parkland layout in Ireland. Set across the 492 acres of the Mount Juliet Estate, this classic course has been the selected venue for three Irish Opens, two American Express World Golf Championships and the Shell Wonderful World of Golf series.

Michael McElligott, Chief Executive, Tetrarch Capital added: “We are delighted to partner with Paul McGinley and look forward to the opening of the “Paul McGinley Golf Academy” at our property. Mount Juliet is consistently recognised as one of Ireland’s finest courses and working with one of the world’s finest golfers, Paul, is a perfect fit. We know Paul will bring a huge amount to Mount Juliet and we are really pleased to offer these additional amenities to our Club members and all visiting golfers.”

Mount Juliet Estate has just completed the development of a state-of-the-art Clubhouse to compliment the new Paul McGinley Golf Academy.
