There was cause for celebration for SETU rugby players as they claimed the Brendan Johnston Cup yesterday.
Tries from Cory Hughes & Sean Quinan secured a 20 – 17 victory over DCU in The Mardyke Cork.

Elsewhere the SETU Carlow Futsal Team won the CUFL Futsal Shield yesterday, beating the University of Galway 2-1 After extra time in the final. The team actually ended up scoring 20 goals over four games, with the highlight being an 8-2 demolition of TUD.

There has been a huge success for the University with a round ball after claiming the Fresher football title and a Perpetual Cup on the soccer side of things
The celebrations now have a chance to continue as it is now been confirmed that SETU Carlow will play Ulster University in the Freshers Hurling Championship Final on the 22nd.
The semi-final had been postponed between Mary Immaculate Thurles and Ulster University, however, the Ulster side won 2-16 to 1-14 when the game went ahead.
