Three Tullow players, two Kilkenny and two Carlow have been named on the Leinster Rugby Junior Squad for their upcoming interprovincial series.

Caomhán Brennan and Daniel Crotty represent Carlow, Wes Carter and Jake McDonald represent Kilkenny, and Jordan Leybourne, Jack McDonald, and Stevie Smith fly the flag for Tullow.

Kilkenny’s Wes Carter has been named captain of the side, who are back having not seen any action since 2019.

Tullow coach Maurice Logue has been named head coach with Carlow’s coach Corey Carth the assistant coach.

The side met up on March 9 in Newbridge with 70 nominated players being narrowed down to a squad of 35.

Tullow RFC hosted one of the training camps for the side too and they’ve had warm-up games against the Gardai and Irish Defense Forces.

They take on Ulster in Carrickfergus on April 23, Connacht in Buccaneers on April 30, and Munster in New Ross on May 7.

All the matches have a 2.30 pm kick-off time.
