Shane Flavin from Paulstown Boxing Club says it’s very difficult to keep going as he has been constantly on the receiving end of controversial split decisions.
Speaking to KCLR after his defeat in the National Under-22 Championships last Friday night, Shane says the judges got the result completely wrong…..
“The last 5 fights, I have been up in the stadium, I have lost them all on a 3-2 split decision like. It’s tough to keep going when you are getting decisions like that”
“They don’t have to rectify their decisions, They don’t have to give them explanations as to who they thought won. Friday night like, the first round, I didn’t think their was anyway you could give it to your man and one judge managed to give it against me like”
“He didn’t come close to me in the first round, whatever the 2nd and 3rd like, they were a small bit competitive but the first round, I thought it was awful that he even got one round off one of the judges”
