The GAA have announced their Champion 15 selections for the Joe McDonagh Cup which will see the winners receive their prizes as part of the PwC All-Stars event in Dublin’s Convention Centre this evening.
Champions Carlow dominate with six players honoured.
St Mullins man James Doyle is selected again this year having also been chosen on a Champion 15 as one of the outstanding players in 2017. His clubmate Paul Doyle is also selected.
MLR duo Edward Byrne and Chris Nolan are named along with Naomh Eoin’s Brian Treacy and Ballinkillen man David English.
Meanwhile two local Hurlers are part of the Irish Under 21 Shinty Squad for the International with Scotland tomorrow.
Andrew Casey of Erins Own and Thomas Dowling of Ballinkillen are on the panel.
Throw in is at 2pm tomorrow at Abbottstown.
