Spa United manager James Tobin is uncertain as to what their aims for the season are having gained promotion from Division Two.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s Pat Maher Shield Last 16 clash against Fort Rangers, James says despite getting promoted they won’t be in Division One just to make up the numbers.
“Look we are in Division One, we got promoted last year, we done alright and we had to put a bit of a run together to hold off Newpark.
“Newpark won their last 7 games and basically we kept them below us, but look we are not been smart, we don’t know what are ambitions for the year are.
“We would love to be towards the top end of the table. When Spa have a good team, we always are there, we always compete in Division One so we are not going up there just to make up the numbers.
“We are hopefully going up there to have a good season and compete and we have had a few good lads from last year so we hope we will be able to do that”, he said.
