The WWE Royal Rumble for 2021 takes place in the wee hours of Sunday night / Monday morning for Irish wrestling fans.
We’ve already taken a look at the first marquee event for the WWE this year on the latest Scheduled For Two Falls with Scoreline’s own Shane O’Keeffe chipping in his two wrestling cents.
Randy Orton gets the ‘Rumble underway as the number one entrant and he’ll be followed by Edge, making a return to in-ring action.
Outside of the traditional 30-man Royal Rumble, there’s plenty of action on this year’s first PPV card.
There are also two Rumbles this year – the men’s and women’s. Both world championships are on the line too, along with the Universal Championship. And thus begins the Road to WrestleMania.
Unlike last year, there won’t be any fans in attendance (in person, at least) in the WWE’s ThunderDome in Florida, but they’ve been making do so far with their live productions.
How can I watch WWE Royal Rumble?
There are two options – BT Sports Box Office via the Sky service for €24.95, or WWE Network for €12.99. The latter includes the Royal Rumble PPV plus an entire month subscription to WWE Network giving you access to every event over the next month plus the entire WWE back catalogue.
When is the Royal Rumble on?
For Irish fans, wrestling action gets started at midnight on Sunday/Monday with the card expected to run until 3-4 am.
There is a special two-hour preview show that will be streaming from 10 pm Sunday night on the WWE YouTube channel.
