St Kieran’s College are celebrating after being crowned All Ireland Under 15 champions on Wednesday in the RSC in Waterford.

The local side defeated Munster champions Douglas Community School  from Cork 5-4 on penalties.

The sides went in at half time 0-0 however a goal from Jim Ryan early on in the second half put the local school ahead.

Kieran’s had a few more chances to increase the gap however Douglas hit a long-range strike to the top of the net bringing the game to extra time.

The sides remained 1-1 after extra time and the game went to penalties. Douglas hit their fifth one over the bar and Jim Ryan stepped up for Kieran’s and slotted home the winner.
