St. Patricks Ballyragget Intermediate Hurling manager Jim Lyng says it’s more preferable to play every week because you can’t do much in training this time of the year.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of Saturday’s Leinster Intermediate Club Semi-Final against Kilteale of Meath, Jim says the weather conditions makes training difficult….

“I think in fairness at this time of the year, it’s less time you need really”

“It’s better to go week to week with games because there isn’t an awful lot you can do. As I said, the weather conditions are particularly poor for the last couple of weeks”

“They were nearly sub-zero there in the middle of last week and then the torrential rain. It makes what you can do out on the field is very very little so I think going from week to week would be preferable”
