This weekend, St Thomas’ will strive for their second AIB GAA Hurling All-Ireland Club Championship title as they face off against O’Loughlin Gaels in a highly anticipated final. The Tribesmen secured their place in this year’s final by triumphing over Ballygunner in a hard-fought semi-final clash.

The six-time Galway champions will lock horns with O’Loughlin Gaels, who are making their second appearance in the All-Ireland Club Championship final. The showdown is scheduled for this Sunday at 1:30 PM in the iconic Croke Park, with live coverage on KCLR, courtesy of Kilkenny Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic.

Fintan Burke, a defender for St Thomas’, shared his insights into the kind of match they are expecting against O’Loughlin Gaels. Drawing parallels to their tough encounter with Ballygunner, Burke described the anticipated final as “tough, tight, and ferocious, crazy. They have been through the wringer, winning Leinster, obviously, beating Ballyhale, and getting over Cushendale who we struggled with a few years ago. We know what they’re going to bring, and just hopefully, we can somewhat try and match it.”

For those seeking a deeper understanding of the upcoming match, the Kilkenny Hurling Podcast, hosted by Robbie and Eddie, is set to air a special preview show this Friday night from 7-9. The podcast guarantees exclusive insights from prominent figures, including Mick Nolan, the last manager to guide O’Loughlin Gaels to an All-Ireland final, and Kevin McDonald, who faced O’Loughlin Gaels in the first round of the Leinster championship as part of Mount Leinster Rangers and Carlow.

Supporters and hurling enthusiasts can expect an extra layer of excitement as the panel and management team members share their thoughts on the impending clash, offering a unique perspective on the strategies and dynamics at play.

This exclusive preview is brought to you by Campion Insurance, ensuring fans are well-prepared for the thrill and drama that awaits in the AIB GAA Hurling All-Ireland Club Championship Final.
