Kilkenny Athletics County Board PRO Perri Williams says there will be a very strong Kilkenny contingent at this weekend’s Irish Schools Cross-Country in Clongowes College.

Speaking to KCLR, Perri says the representatives involved will be strong contenders for success.

She said “You will have Shay McEvoy of Kilkenny City Harriers in the Seniors. You will have a very good St. Kierans Team, they are made up of St. Senans and KCH a really good team in the Junior Boys, they were 2nd in the All-Ireland last year so there will be expectations of them”.

“You have Billy Coogan from the CBS in Kilkenny, and he is in the Minor Boys and then you have obviously a very very strong Intermediate Team made up of mostly Thomastown Athletes that go to school in the Loreto, and then we have Tadhg Connolly St. Senans who goes to school in the Abbey Community College, he would be very very strong contender for the Junior Boys”.
