Earlier in the week we had news of the Hula Hoops National Cup Draw but Team Kilkenny seniors mens team launch their basketball season tonight from 7pm at The Watershed Sports Complex.

This will be Team Kilkenny’s fifth campaign in the First Division of the National Basketball League.

As the team continues to develop and advance, there are some new faces in the squad for 2015/16 along with a new player-coach, American All-Star Puff Summers.

Team Kilkenny will take on near neighbours IT Carlow in the opening game of the Paddy Ryan Memorial Tournament which sees six of the top teams in the country coming to Kilkenny to get their last warm up games in before their season openers next weekend.

Tonight’s game tips off at 7.45pm but before that the Kilkenny Stars under 10’s boys team will be demonstrating their skills while representatives from Kilkenny Swifts National Wheelchair basketball team will also be at the Watershed.

If you’re fan of basketball, you’re promised a great night of sport in Kilkenny tonight and as with every game, all are welcome to attend.
