Kilkenny Senior Camogie Team are out in the first round of the National League this Sunday.
They take on a Clare side who put them to the pin of their collar in last years Championship.
Panelist Michelle Teehan says the League competition matters a lot to her because she gets a chance to gain more playing time along with other members of the squad.
“Oh yeah god it means a lot (League), especially for players like myself that actually get a chance to play in the League and to show what they are made of so it means a lot for us.
“Hopefully we can defend our title this year again. I suppose you take each match as it comes and you have to play it anyway so it doesn’t make a difference if the League is earlier or later this year like, we are looking forward to it anyway and we are just going to drive on and take each match as it comes,” she said.
Throw in is at 2pm Sunday in Clare.
